About the Park
The Pedernales River drops about fifty feet over a series of tilted limestone steps near Johnson City. The falls are the headline, but the park also has a swimming area downstream, the Twin Falls overlook, bird blinds, and a long stretch of river frontage.
Flash floods can raise the river fast, so the falls area is day-use only and posted with warnings.
